The National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) is the primary scientific computing facility for the Office of Science in the U.S. Department of Energy.
As one of the largest facilities in the world devoted to providing computational resources and expertise for basic scientific research, NERSC is a world leader in accelerating scientific discovery through computation. NERSC is a division of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, located in Berkeley, Calif. It is also one of three divisions in the Berkeley Lab Computing Sciences area, housed in the Shyh Wang Hall computational research and theory facility. The Energy Sciences Network (ESnet), another national user facility, and the Computational Research Division (CRD) are the other two. Visit the website.
